INTRODUCTION

Since the dawn of internet technology in 1990s when users no longer restricted to the scientific or military communities, the internet quickly expanded to include universities, local and state governments, individuals, families and Business. Since then it changed the rules of establishing business, because of this technological innovation it changed the face of the business battle ground and the rules of engagement in business it is no longer restricted to face to face transaction, manual operations, it quickly shifted its gears to automation. Since then, business owners make use of this technology to their advantage they begun to reside in the web to advertise their products and services this improves and widens their market fields by reaching the local customers or even customers in the other part of the world and enticing them to buy their products or avail of their services. But the business owners wanted more it’s not enough for them just to advertise their products and services. Because of this need they formulated a new way to sell products and services through online then the online marketing is born. At first, the term ecommerce meant the process of execution of commercial transactions electronically with the help of the leading technologies such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) which gave an opportunity for users to exchange business information and do electronic transactions. Online vendors get distinct advantages. The web and its search engines provide a way to be found by customers without expensive advertising campaign. Even small online shops can reach global markets. Web technology also allows to track customer preferences and to deliver individually-tailored marketing. It is a world which we are all building together brick by brick, laying a secure foundation for the future generations.
