In my organization (U.S. Army) we use the ROWE program in some instances. We use our shift work to be able to enhance production from soldiers. For instance, at the building I directly work at, we have a section that runs four shifts throughout the day, but also runs a weekend shift. To make this work, they only work them from Thursday through Monday. It is a very enticing shift due to the fact that they all get the opportunity to work it. It also helps the parents to get time during the week to help out and do things with the kids.

Some identity factors that would make the ROWE more difficult because in retail you have to be there for customer service. You cant just put in about 4 hours per day to fill your time for the week. With the ROWE you come in and do your days worth and go home. That could be a big problem with retail employees.

Employee retention is huge in the army. I do not think accenture tactics are used by the Army. However, I do think that retention is huge for any company. It is for the Army and we use specific guidelines and measures to decide who is retained.

The first thing I noticed on www.accenture.com was how they promoted increased sales for one of their clients and huge increase in businesses to include ones in other countries. The promotion for careers is great because they talk about the graduation rates and also into military opportunities. Their tabs are wonderful because any question you have they are easily found to take you to the information you need to know.
