The problem of having failing and low grades of every AMVian is highly caused
by ineffective time management. A lot of distractions block the students from prioritizing
their tasks which result to more procrastination. Because of this, the researchers were
fuelled to pursue a study that would improve every AMVian’s time management for
achieving better grades. Through thorough readings and research, the researchers
came up with the thesis statement which states that the use of a tool namely the time
table will aid in managing the allotted time for studying of the AMV students.
To facilitate the study, the researchers held an interview with the college’s
Guidance Counsellor. As a result, there are three common distractions that hinder
AMVians from focusing to their studies—wrong set of friends, social networking sites
and personal problems. The interviewee also stated that the effectivity of the use of time
tables will depend on how committed the user is to the tool. The interviewer also said
that there is a big difference among the freshmen, the sophomores, the juniors and the
senior students of AMV in managing time. The first two groups of people, the first year
and second year students, tend to give more time for fun and games than studying
while the last two, the third year and fourth year students already know their priorities
and are more focused than ever.
To aid further the study, the researchers distributed questionnaires to selected
students of AMV from different year levels to get their personal insights about the
matters of the study such as their distractions in studying and how they deal with it.
From there, the researchers found out that the common factor that distracts an AMV
student is _________ and most likely, AMVians would want to control this certain
distraction through time management by specifically using time tables.
As a result, the researchers may conclude that AMV students...
