Regrets

Regrets are often a result of passing up an opportunity or making the wrong decision. We tend to dwell on regrets rather than understand the preparation steps we could have taken to avoid regret in the first place. Accountability is everything! We are so self consumed and short sited we don’t understand that had we been inclusive or planned long term, we would not be feeling such an emotion.

A common regret often felt in athletics is not putting in enough time and yet again this action is reflective. We are not able to understand the implications or feelings we are about to endure until the action itself has happened. This feeling often is not felt if you go out on top and suddenly you feel you are on top of the world. The TRUE WINNERS could go out on top and still wish things had been better or they prepare for the next step whether its College, University, NCAA or Pro. Either that or they prepare themselves for academics and their future.

Dreams are achieved and most valuable when you are awake. It is never about the thought, it is about the execution and process. Apple was a cool thought, so was Microsoft, but had Steve Jobs and Bill Gates not sacrificed sleep, you probably wouldn’t be reading this on your iPhone or Computer right now.

Malcolm Gladwell had it...
