Vera’s Vegetarian Venue – Business Plan

Let me start of by saying how very excited I am to be working with this fine organization and I look forward to being a very open and care-spirited Human Resource (HR) Director. I believe it is extremely important for everyone here to feel comfortable and come by to see me whenever they have any problems, questions or simply to get to know me better. I am also very happy that I was able to convince Mrs. Vera Jones that her original view on only hiring vegetarian’s, people between 20-40, no weirdoes, only women chefs, and not to hire people who were overweight was only going to destroy her business with lawsuits, that she had worked so hard to build up. Upon accepting this request for the Director of Human Resources, I want you to know that you have chosen the right person for this job and I will herby convince you that I can do this job and explain my plan of operation here below.

I first want to say that I bring in over 20 years of experience working first as a Human Resource Manager for 5 years and then as a Human Resource Director for the last 15 years working for Wal-Mart. I also received my bachelors & masters degree from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Being that I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and have a lot of family there, I decided to live here in Austin where I could be closer to my family, versus the opportunities that I could have had in other larger organizations outside of Texas. Working with Wal-Mart these 20 some years has allowed me to grow my knowledge and passion I have for Human Resource Management. I have done my fair share of hiring excellent employees who have grown into fine store managers & directors and I have also had to fire the one’s that were no longer being an asset as well.
