There are many questions I would ask myself to to be sure that I using my critical thinking for my research and analysis of the problem. I would state my argument after doing my research and taking my time to complete it. I found out that our local gas company had caused our community severe illnesses.

Questioning for the Newspaper/Community-

1. When did the first contraction of the illness occur?

2. How do the symptoms of the illness vary between the children and adults of the community?

3. How and where did the illness come from?

4. How did the individuals in our community contract these illnesses?

5. Are the illnesses the same or do they differ from person to person?

6. Do the symptoms vary or are they all the same for each person infected?

7. Examination/ Finding evidence: (Strategies applied and Investigations)

8. Testing of the victims of the illnesses.

Questioning the local gas company about the dumping of the harmful chemical-disposal. Investigate why the company isn’t following regulation and has possible knowledge of the problem this may cause.

3. Dumping Cost.

4. Designated area for dumping harmful chemicals.

5. Why is this not being looked after?

6. Does this cause harm for the surrounding areas?

7. Is it possible for the company to move to a different location?

Investigate the victims:

1. How soon did the illness come on?

2. Did it progressively get worse?

3. What are your symptoms?

4. Have you been in our community for a certain period of time?

5. Have you found that food and water contamination may be a factor

6. Do you have children? If so, have they attended school since contracting the illness?

1. Does age make a difference in the severity of the illness?

2. What ages have been contracted with the illness?
