Name of Event | Description | Outcome |

French and Indian War 1754-1763 | Was a war between the British and France with their First Nation allies to see who the dominant power was and who would come to dominate the new world. Also referred to as the 7 year war. | The signing of the Treaty of Paris. Defeated by Britain and its allies, France was forced to cede all of Canada in exchange for the return of Guadeloupe and Martinique. After the Seven year war both countries where also short on cash. |

The Quartering Act 1765 | After the 7 year war the British where low on money so to save costs and building new houses they forced the colonies to provide housing for the British troops and supply them with necessary living needs. During this time the Stamp Tax Act was imposed on every document. | The colonists did not agree with what was being done and went against it till it was eventually repealed. |

Sons of Liberty Organized 1765 | This group was formed to defend the liberties of the colonists. They were behind most of riots in the colonies against royal officials. | They eventually stood up against the Stamp Tax Act and it was later repealed as they could not keep enforcing it. |

Stamp Tax Congress 1765 | One representative for each colony met up in New York for a meeting in October about the stamp act and issued a 13 point resolution opposing the act. By the end of the meeting which lasted 3 weeks they agreed to a joint Declaration of Rights and Grievances. | They eventually agreed to repeal the act and came up with a new set of ways and rights on how colonists should be treated and their rights. |

Stamp Tax Repealed 1765 | The British were stuck with two options carry the tax out with force or repeal it which they ended up doing. The British were got surprised about how much they rebelled against the act. | They eventually repealed the Stamp Tax Act to make the colonists happy and less rebellion. |
