I. Introduction

Networking is a process which devices are interconnected to each other. They connect through specific devices which enable them to transfer and/or receive information. One example of a network is telecommunication. Phones are able to connect with each other via sim card and the signal coming from the nearest towers.

Networking has a huge impact to our society. Since the beginning of time it is already there. It changed our lives. Imagine a world without communication. There will be conflicts against countries which can lead to war. Countries which fail to communicate with other countries might result to hatred due to different kinds of culture which, on other countries are unacceptable. Networking sort of upgraded the human communication by creating new technologies and inventing new ways of making the communication possible.

One of the best benefits of networking is that the communication is very fast. These days, having your mail sent to a courier will take days, weeks and on extreme cases, months. Which on the other hand you can use the technology which what we call electronic mail which will just take minutes to be sent wherever you want to send it to. Sharing resources, preserving information and also protecting the information are the other benefits of networking.

We picked the business type network layout which we can derive from existing businesses. The setup will have 25 nodes, which will be divided into different parts. All nodes will have internet access and all nodes should be able to see each other. They should be able to transfer and receive information from other nodes.

II. Objectives

1. The goal of our group is to apply what we have learned in our Networking subject. Applying what we have learned will help us get jobs which we can accomplish because of the experiences will get.

2. Increase our knowledge in Networking.

3. Gain experience in making network design.
