So with senior year and your future in mind, you have things like college and money and a future career to think about, with that comes many questions you start to ask yourself. For example, should I go to college, if so what for? This all leads you to most likely wonder on what the top jobs in America are. There are many different ways to scale this subject. We can scale it by which job pays the most, whichever job pays well with the least amount of schooling, which jobs pay the best with just your high school diploma, which jobs are in the most demand, and the generally “happiest” jobs in America?

Let’s begin with the highest paying jobs in America. According to CBS News, the best paying jobs are Surgeons, (who make about $225,390) and take about 9 to 12 years of college, Anesthesiologists ( make about $220,100) and require about 9 to 12 years of college, Oral Surgeons (who make about $214,120) also need 9 to 12 years of college, Obstetrician, (make about $210,350) and Orthodontist (who make about $200,290) both involve 9 to 12 years of schooling ("15 Best-Paid Jobs in America"). Most of these top paying jobs are in the medical field and with the baby boomer year soon retiring these jobs will very likely be in higher demand.

In 2011 however, there seems to be a different order for the top paying job, according to CNBC the list runs a little differently. First comes Doctors and Surgeons making about $165,000-225,000 a year, second is a Chief Executive Officer making about $173,00, third is a Dentist making about $158,770, fourth is a Lawyer, they make about $129,440 and the fifth is a Natural Sciences Manager making about $129,320 ("What Are the Highest Paying Jobs?"). These jobs all pay very well and generally will always be in high demand. However, is the stress of the work and the amount of debt you may go into while earning the education required to get the job make this list the best jobs in...
