In Europe during the time of the reformation there were many people who were involved in trying to change the church. They didn’t like how it was ran and they felt as if there were too many restrictions on everything. This reformation had many causes and consequences economically, politically, and socially.

One big Religion that came out of this reformation in Europe was Protestant. Protestants believe that they didn’t have to go to church every Sunday and pray all the time. They felt that God would be happy with just having the spirit of worship. So this brought them to do other things like focus on money and divergence throughout their own counties. This differs from Catholics in where the church ran everything even money and power. It gave people the chance to take control of their own countries while still worshiping god when they could. They would use a new form of modern industrial capitalism. This differed from the way Catholics ran their government by letting entrepreneurs open businesses and run them themselves. Capitalism was widely spread through the countries who wanted reform, the ones that wanted to stay with the old ways are now stuck with commercial and industrial sectors run by the Catholic Church.

The idea of free thought and free will was a thing that wasn’t really thought of with Catholics, you were on a tight schedule and you had to follow orders. With the new reformed ideas people thought more freely and worshipped god when they could. A big problem with this reformation though was a country and would be reformed when a prince would give into the idea. And not all princes wanted to change from the old way of life. Even with all of this, if one would change so would another country. This was because the countries would rely on one another politically and kind of follow suit with one another to keep in good standings with one another.
