Recruitment Process

Recruitment can be a stressful exercise for many companies especially when an experienced employee is leaving the company with an open position behind. Filling in such gape can be a critical process.  The situation can be even more stressful when a manager who others report to is leaving. Employees in his or her section could experience greater anxiety and anticipation because their manager will probably be replaced with someone they do not know.

 

There are many reasons that make staffing a crucial exercise.  It takes time for many new hires to get adjusted in a new position and this has equivalent cost affect on production. Adjusting to the organizational culture of a company, influencing the willingness of your peers and subordinates is a challenge for many new comers. One way to resolve these challenges is for companies to hire from within.  To support in-house talent and to show that there is potential for advancement in an organization is a sensible HR practice.  Having in-house personnel apply for support services will reduce the anxiety on both the HR and employees. In-house hiring makes recruitment exercise easier for the organization because these talented people already knew the culture, the system, and possessed general knowledge of all processes.

This paper will elaborate on recruitment issues at Wal-Mart and McDonald restaurant.
