Abstract

This paper examines multiple sources that report findings on research conducted in the area discrimination. The paper uses these researched sources to help readers understand the forms impact of discrimination and how the occur in organization environments. The paper identifies the protections stipulated by laws and how they influence offenders and victims. This paper explores the unethical nature of discrimination and difficulty in proven it has occurred. Research shows that there discrimination still exists and increases regardless to law established to prevent it.

Discrimination

Discrimination is word that describes a behavior that has, at one time or another, affected everyone. It can be driven by race, sex, creed, age, culture, color, size and arrays of other reasons. Discriminators sometimes refer to other situations in which they may not have discriminated, in order to dispel accusations against them. For example, someone who does not hire a person, based on his or her race, might point to other similar races that they did hire. When we think of discrimination, we might think of those outwardly situations where humans are denied their liberty. However, there are laws designed, clearly, to protect against discrimination. Nevertheless, the fact that laws are needed that encourage people to be fair and implies that a major problems exists. Discrimination is very broad in human behavior and, thus, must be discussed in a categorical manner. For this reason, this writing will discuss the area on employment discrimination, some of which are protected by law - others that are not protected.
