Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to reflect on Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory self-assessment and how my personal values in conjunction with the management values at Kudler Fine Foods would affect my performance if I were a manager there. The summary of my paper will show how ethical decision making involves three components-awareness, articulation and application.

Body:

The Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory Assessment determines what core belief underlies my ethics decisions. The assessment can provide insight into general views and approaches with regard to ethical issues. It takes character (C), obligation (O), results (R), and equity (E) and puts them into an order from the most closely aligned to the least closely aligned.

According to the Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory Assessment (2008), my personal Ethics Awareness Inventory Scoring Summary indicates the following score:

The test indicates that ethical profile that I am most closely aligned is obligation (O). I tend to base my ethical perspective on an individual’s duty or obligation to do what is morally right. I believe that each person has value, no matter where they are in life and on the same side; each person has a responsible to grow and develop and to make the best decisions for themselves, taking responsibility for those decisions.
