Romeo and Juliet: True Love

True love is real and nothing can come between it. Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is a perfect example of that. Love is the ultimate weapon that overcomes all of the tragedies that occur in this play. The play begins in Verona where there are two families that are against each other and have been fighting for the last century. Romeo is a Montague and Juliet is part of the Capulet family. In the first act Romeo has lost the love of his life, Rosaline. Everything happens for a reason and that is portrayed in the Shakespearean play. On the other hand at the Capulet household Lady Capulet informs Juliet that Paris, a cousin of the Prince, wants to marry her. Juliet has to meet Paris that same night and she is asked to like him. Juliet responds in a neutral manner, saying she will try to like him if that is what is wanted. Later that night Romeo makes an appearance at the party that Juliet is supposed to also attend, even though he had a dream that told him it was not a good idea to go to the party. As soon as Romeo lays his eyes on Juliet he quickly forgets about Rosaline. Romeo and Juliet end up speaking to each other and there is an instant attraction within a few seconds. As they both leave the party they realize that they have fallen in love, although they are enemies. True love has no if or but when it is real. Romeo gets away from the people he is accompanied by and sneaks under Juliet’s window. Juliet seems to be speaking out loud to herself about her love for Romeo. He comes out of the orchard and they speak to each other about their profound love. She informs Romeo that she will send her nurse to him tomorrow so that he can tell her when

and where their marriage will occur. The next day Romeo tells Friar Laurence about his plans and the Friar will help Romeo because he hopes to end the fighting between the two families. Romeo and Juliet end up getting married at Friar Laurence’s cell. In the next act...
