My Statement of Purpose

I am pursuing my graduation in Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida, It is affiliated to the Gautam Budh Technical University. I will complete my final year by July, 2012. I have always envisioned a career that requires innovation and foresight for myself. Hence I wish to pursue my higher studies in the field of Sustainable building technology from the UK because it will provide a platform for me to gain education of the highest international standards. This course will help me adept at a wide range of skills in the field of Sustainable building technology which I believe is one of the most upcoming fields in my country today.

As a part of my bachelor’s degree program in civil engineering, I have studied various subjects like RCC structures; steel structures etc. and I have been able to strengthen my technical knowledge base in various civil engineering disciplines. It has ignited a keen interest in me to grasp the basic tenets in the field of sustainable construction and build upon them extensively. Even though I have already gained the basic technical knowledge in the field of construction, my urge to gain higher knowledge in this field has inspired me to pursue specialization in the field of Sustainable building technology. This will enhance my qualities in my chosen field and enhance my career prospects.

The masters in the field of Sustainable building technology is a blend of practical, theoretical, applied subjects and the case studies used as modules for the course provide valuable insight to the students. It will give me opportunities for personal and intellectual growth and to develop my full potential. This program will gear me with the major skills in the field of Sustainable Construction.
