Some terms have different meanings when expressed with a subject. An example of this is a carrot in math (a root sign to have a number be represented as a square) isn't the same carrot that goes into one's salad at lunch. Certain terms may not have the same meaning as what I believe them to be than how they may be in a different setting. Three terms that I will identify to the best of my ability are as followed: hyperspace, cyberspace, virtual reality. My meaning for each term is affected directly by my influences through life and how I have came into contact with them personally.

When I first think of the term hyperspace I can imagine myself behind a spaceship' controls pressing the big red button after flipping over the glass cubed glass covering it and then confidently saying, "We're going into hyperspace." What I believe this term to mean by subtext clues, and my own experience with the all-familiar space movies, is that it's like jumping into a hole that takes one from Indiana to China; it's a very far distance- however is theoretically done through hyperspace in just a matter of seconds. Wouldn't it be nice to "jump into hyperspace" if you were late to school or work; when you only have five minutes to drive sixty or so miles through traffic and whatnot? Life would be so much easier if we had that lovely big red button that took us through hyperspace and where we needed to be in a matter of seconds.

Another word I've came in contact with over the years is cyberspace. I believe most of the 90's children- like myself- have very close relationships with cyberspace. This, as easily as I can put it, is the space in which technology is communicated through in such ways as e-mails, instant messaging, calling on the telephone, using the internet. Cyberspace is colossal! I perceive that if we actually were to go into the world of cyberspace that we would...
