You want to find your car a home that will not harm the environment nor add to already filling landfills. 1. Car Donation Facilities. There are many different nonprofit organizations in existence that will make great use of any type of car donation. Even if the car is dying, it will still be of use to them. Each of these facilities have different methods for handling old cars, however, they all use them to help advance their cause. Some facilities will directly find a use for the old car, while others will sell it and give the money to a cause in need.

2. A Mechanic. This option will only be available for certain in demand cars, however, it may be available to you. If you own a car that can be considered a classic, you won’t have to look hard for a mechanic that would love to take it on as a project car. Even though you may not receive top dollar for your classic, it’s better than letting it sit in a landfill. Instead, the mechanic will spend some of his free time fixing it up and give the car new life. They will then usually sell the vehicle to a new owner.
