Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome to my presentation. Im going to talk about

Psychology of children's drawings

Especially for the MA-Dialogue students.

I would like to say why the children's drawings are important.

Firstly,

- determining the level of development. For example, when a child is drawing, you can see in which development that child is.

Secondly,

- maturity of children

- growth of the child

-research to personality and social-emotional problems of the child

Finally;

importance of the MA-Dialogue students:

-The effective of dialogue with children’s drawings

It’s really important to try to understand children.

You can almost communicate with them like an adult. However, sometimes it is difficult to have communication with a child. Especially, when they have a trauma. They don’t talk, say nothing, they don’t have dialogue with nobody.

If you want to have dialogue or communication with these kind of children, you must push him or her to draw something. All children enjoy drawing. Give him lots of pencil with different colours and papers and you will see the difference. The result shall be positive.

The House Tree Person (HTP)

House, Tree and Person; these are the most common themes that children's want to draw.

The central of all of these three are an aspect of the self-perception of the child.

Firstly, if we want to understand a child with one of this draw (House-Tree-Person) you should know what it means. It’s not always possible to know exactly what this terms means, therefore studying courses about HTP would be helpful.

Examples:

Mean of:

-House;

House symbolize the family situation, but also for the inner world of a child. You can see when the child draw a door, window or anything else. However, the size of these things can tell us very much.

An example:

If a child never draws windows, it may mean that he has little of his inner shows that he's shy or closed.
