The Matrix (The Nature of Reality)

The mind and body work together as one. While one carries out a function, the other works in conjunction and carries out other complimentary processes. While the mind is creating focus for a work out, the body is supplying the energy, oxygen, nerves, muscles, and nutrients to execute the work out. Theoretically, the mind can live without the body, but the body cannot live without the mind. But that all depends on what one’s perception of “living” is. If we’re being technical, during a brain transplant, the removed brain isn’t necessarily “dead,” it’s just not in use, until reinserted into another cranium. While on the same note, the body is still intact and the person is still breathing, just in a deep sleep, one where electrodes and brain waves are not necessary to keep the body in a kinetic state. So, in my perspective, I believe both the body and mind work together, but do not “need” each other to perform basic functions. Yet neither can live . . . . . without the soul. The body needs the mind to use its five senses. The brain sends electrical signals, through the nervous system, that translate taste from the tongue, texture from the finger and toe tips, smell from the nostrils, sounds from the ear drum, and sight from the pupils.

Real cannot be defined. Real is based on one’s own perception of reality. What humans perceive as real is only proven through experience, and the use of our five senses. We can only understand what is directly in front of us. We as humans are driven by evidence and experience. Although there are many of us driven by faith and religion, by nature, we do not believe what we can’t see or prove. The term “I’ll believe it when I see it” derived from this theory. The matrix did not change this theory, or change it in any form, only tested it. Neo was tested, to see if he was going to take what he heard from Morpheus and run with it, or if he was going to completely disregard Morpheus. He chose neither,...
