What are everyone's thoughts concerning the hypothetical organization?
Randy suggested socially responsible coffee company-everyone agrees
What time lines should we use? - for everyone's consideration I would propose this Sunday at Mid-night for part 1?? Your thoughts?
Tom’s requested timeline: I would like part 1 turned in by COB Tuesday and part 2 by COB Thursday so that we all have time to review the material and talk/work through any issues.
Strategic Plan Presentation and Management Plan Paper (Learning Team Assignment):
Part 1 - has 2 sections - a and b
a. Create a hypothetical organization that provides a service and/or a product. Socially responsible coffee company...Green Java
Develop a strategic plan for the organization using the following strategic planning process:
1) Define the business and develop a mission statement.
Tom suggested:
Green Java’s Mission
Create an atmosphere (replace with “relaxing ambiance”), through inspired beverages and quality service, where individuals desire to congregate and express themselves.
Traci: I was thinking along the same lines...something like “creating a place where our customers’ want to be”... any thoughts on how to incorporate the socially responsible part to the mission? How about:
“To be a socially responsible company that creates a relaxing ambiance where our neighbors and friends desire to congregate and express themselves.”
Lynette, you offered to work on this part also, do you have any ideas to add?
