Medical Marijuana Dispensary

Mission statement:

“Weeds R Us” will responsibly and within the guidelines of the law develop high-quality medical marijuana (Cannabis). “Weeds R Us” will distribute the product with integrity and compassion to those that require it to sustain a quality of life while undergoing medical treatment.

A. Perform a situation analysis

1. Internal Environment-

* As a non-profit organization we will be going to the major charitable organizations and selling our dispensary and development business. With their help we can obtain grants and funding to further our aims. We will be marketing our products to hospitals, cancer treatment centers, mental disease treatment centers, and various medical centers where our products will help in the treatment of patients.

* We will be researching and developing new and alternate methods of dispensing our product to patients with the help and knowledge of the medical field.

* The FDA and law enforcement will be kept abreast of all research and distribution plans with quarterly reports issued by the Board of Directors.

* All development and distribution centers will have internal and external security. Putting in place a “check and balance” system to ensure all components of the business are being upheld to a high standard and are in the guidelines of the law.

2. External Environment-

* In Ohio alone there are 64,450 cancer patients (Cancer Facts and figures 2010). 27,698 Ohioans are living with HIV and HIV with AIDS (Ohio Dept. of Health). 91,884 Ohioans live with Glaucoma and another 3 Million have Fibromyalgia. Further research and talking to medical professionals will hopefully add the numbers for the other medical conditions that can use medical marijuana as part of their treatment plans.

* The market area for this business will begin in Canton/ Akron area. Increasing our market share to include Cleveland and Youngstown within the first year and a half.
