How to format an essay using Turabian citation style

The Turabian citation style may be utilized in essays regarding humanities, social and natural sciences and other field of courses. Referencing allows you and your work to be credible, accountable, and on the positive note. It is an utmost importance that one must follow certain guidelines on how to properly cite and format sources to credit the work of others, to allow others locate the basis as well as to avoid plagiarism

For the paper format of your essay, it should begin with a centered title page, the name of your school, the full title of the paper, class information, as well as your name and the date. One inch margins on all sides, and the entire paper is double spaced. The footnotes, endnotes and references are single spaced. Title of articles from magazines and newspapers must be in quotation marks while titles of books, journals, magazines, and newspaper must be in italics.

On the other hand, the format for footnoted or endnotes must be written: First and Last name, “Title of Article,” Title of Book (Place of publication: Publisher, year published), page. The first line should be indented by a tab. While most written sources for the essay are formatted in this way: Author’s First and last name. “Article Title.” Title of Book (Location of Publisher: Publisher, Year of publication), page. A usual source of information are from internet sites. To refer to electronic sources it must consist of: Last Name, First of Author. Title. URL (accessed Month Day, Year).

The bibliography page should be in alphabetical order. It should be named as bibliography, references or works cited. This will be as the same content as your footnotes or endnotes except for its numerical arrangement. Every source should use a hanging indent.
