Assignment ; describe some of the ways in which order is made and repaired on a street which you know.

In light of the material hilighted in the course, I have chosen to focus my assignment on my local high street in (Place), known simply as High Street. The street is privately paved, It represents elements of City Road, such as local businesses, banks, takeaways, and bars. The High Street like many, has a variety of Ethnic groups similar to City Road.

I have given 3 different examples of Making order below, and then 3 examples of repairing .

"Making Order "

(1) Cafe's make social order by being convenient, and somewhat historical social establishment for the community. Local community members and workers gather here to eat food, and socialise with other members of the public, as well as the Cafe staff.

When passing by a cafe on the High Street, I can see members of different ethnic groups, different age groups, members of the public, and local workers such as council workmen, all eating in the same Cafe. Because eating food is such a social event, it brings relationship between these people together .

(2) You don't often see teenagers sitting in a Cafe eating egg on toast, although you can see a wide range of age groups in a cafe at once, Teenagers tend to eat while they walk, or in most of the cases I've witnessed, sit on a public bench and eat chips, usually in groups.

(3) My High Street has market stalls which wasnt mentioned in City Road. These stalls sell a wide variety of produce from herbs and spices, to pots and pans. The market owners sometimes entice people by yelling their offers to passing people. Offering fresh daily vegetables, cheaper than supermarkets .

"Repairing"

(1) Like many Cafe and takeaway establishments, their use of oil for cooking is often leaked in to the sewers via sinks, as also highlighted in the DVD Material.

This oil which clogs up the drains is a common problem everywhere, not just on City Road or...
