Career Development Summary

I have accepted a new role as midlevel manager. I am fortunate to have been promoted to this position. I recognize the need to restructure my team. We need to consider hiring new personnel in order to be successful in the new structure. We will develop a suitable training program for both new and current employees. A new performance appraisal program will be implemented, which will strive to get better production out of the employees. The following is a proposal for my suggested direction of the new team.

As the industry evolves, our company follows suit. We have decided to create and fill the following positions in the new Sales Department. The first position will be the Senior Regulatory Salesmen. There is one opening. This will be a Senior level position. This person will be responsible for ensuring that all sales packages comprehensively meet the customers’ needs and that they are in compliance with the new government standards. This role,will not be required to recruit new business, nor sell the product directly. Primary Duties will be: training other sales staff on meeting customer needs, government safety compliance, and ensuring these standards are upheld. This person will stay abreast on new government practices, and also maintain contact with clients after services have been rendered. Requirements for this position will be 10+ years of experience in government regulations in regards to sanitation, 10+ years of experience in customer relations, and good communication skills. This position will receive only a base salary.

The second position will be Senior Sales Representative. There is one opening. This position will lead the other sales representatives. This person will be responsible for recruiting new business, designing product packages, sealing sales on major accounts, managing the lower level sales positions, ensuring quality customer service, and working in conjunction...
