* Kudler’s is a distributer of food and fine wines for customer’s so they don’t have to travel around the world to fine these items. Computer information systems can be used for more than just the accounting and inventory of a company. Systems can be used for so much more to better a company’s profits and to expand on the needs to reach other areas of business.

* Currently Kudler’s is using its computer system for basic needs of the company such as inventory and the accounting of the finances. The inventory of each store and the finances are taken care of in each store through the registers being connected to the terminals to track sales and items that are being sold. This is how each store forecasts what items sell more and which ones sell not so much. This is helpful in the ordering of products in bulk or to discontinue items that aren’t being sold enough, (Kudler’s Fine Food, 2003).

* The strengths and weaknesses that Kudler’s is currently having with the current system and technology is using that the software is old and out of date. There is software out there to help with the keeping records separate such as sales and inventory. If Kudler’s would use software to separate the two then the company could expand in the market. The system is good for basic needs of having two or three outlets but to expand this could be a problem. For example some hardware that is out there is inventory scanners. Right now Kudler’s is basing all its inventory and sales depending on what customers are buying at the registers. What about the stock that is...
