I would like to share with all of you why the Sabbath Day is very important to me. Not to boast myself but in order to witness God’s blessings to me because of the decision I made about His day.

As some of you may know, I did not study or worked full time for an Adventist organization before coming Thailand.

I went to Catholic Schools and Universities.

Life for an Adventist boy in a Catholic organization may me a bit challenging.

In high School, my religious teacher who happened to be a Catholic priest realized very soon I was an Adventist and started mocking Ellen White and making fun of my beliefs. That was a humbling experience not too easy for a twelve years old boy.

But God was good to me. My teacher also realized that by God’s grace I was more familiar with the bible that most of my catholic classmates. He started respecting me and made me his class assistant. I could teach bible to my Catholic classmates with the authorization of their priest.

Very often we had classes on Sabbath day which I did not attend.

But God was good to me. Even though, I had to master many topics by myself by God’s grace I used to have better grades than most of my classmates.

University was not different. Very often, exams were scheduled on Sabbath day. I did not write those exams. I even fail one course because of that. I was left behind by my classmates who went to the next course without me.

But God was good to me. I was selected for a very exclusive graduate diploma program upon 700 of the faculty students and because of that I was granted an internship in the biggest petroleum company in my country that I always dreamed to work for. That actually happens because I was one class behind my classmates and because of God’s love to me.

When I graduated I started looking for a job and very often I had to refuse job offers because of my beliefs. One time I went through a tough selection process. I was chosen among 18 candidates. When I was ready to sign...
