1.1 Origin

As a part of our course we were supposed to prepare a Case Report On Kaiser steel Corporation, 1972 . This report supervised by Dr. M. Sadiqul Islam, Professor, Department of Finance, University Of Dhaka.

1.2 Objectives of the Report

The objectives of the study are as follows:

1. To know problems of the case of Kaiser Steel Corporation.

2. To analyzes the industry, company and market.

3. To evaluate alternatives for case solution.

4. To recommend about ultimate solution of the case.

1.3 Scope of the Study

To solve the case we had to made concentration on the provided information on the case. Different books, articles, and internet are also used to get conceptual framework.

1.4 Sources and Methodology

Only Secondary data are used to prepare this case report. For theoretical analysis, concept and information are collected from text books, research reports, publications, and different literatures. Analysis of the case is concentrated on Economy, industry and company.

1.5 Limitations of the Report

We faced lots of problems regarding the preparation of the report. The financial data of Kaiser Steel Corporation is not available. On the way of our study, we have faced the following problems, which may be termed as the limitation or shortcoming of the study. These are as follows:

1. The main constraint of the study is inadequate access to information,

2. A lot of confusions regarding verification of data in case of assumption
