Five dimensions world in 1Q84

It took us almost six weeks to read through Murakami’s newest and longest novel 1Q84 whose chronological time ranges from April to December 1984/1Q84. When the eleven months is converted into six weeks reading, readers could feel how Murakami’s idea expresses consecutively and intensively in a horizontal time period. On the other hand, the two worlds (or three worlds) in the novel have expanded the space to a vertical part that Aomame and Tengo linked together through the worlds. Aomame called it 1Q84, and Tengo called it town of cats. Further Murakami is very carefully on detailed time from months to minutes. First of all, the three spatial dimension reacts as a significant role to the story especially in Book 3. For example, Aomame's safe house is only around fifteen minutes from Tengo's house so that she has chance to first time see Tengo in the park. Ushikawa chooses at upstairs to monitor Tengo which guides him find...
