Target Market

The target market for MarketCenter are those medium to large agriculturally based companies that engage in trading futures and options to hedge their primary cash market. Companies using MarketCenter must have good to excellent access to desktop computing, mobile communication, high-speed Internet, require corresponding information on fundamental news and weather affecting their markets, and a need to track historical performance of these markets graphically. Typically these companies would be identified as feedlots in the trade of cattle, or grain elevators in the trade of grain products. For example, grain elevators are primarily in the business of buying and selling grain and use the futures market to hedge, or offset the risk from unexpected changes in the value of the cash commodity.

Product

MarketCenter is a browser based program that provides access to real-time futures and options market prices on most North American commodities, news and weather information related to those markets, graphical information on historical data and market trends. In addition, MarketCenter provides access to a trading platform to allow the user to execute trades online from their desktop computer, or remotely from their smart phone or tablet when and where they are able to access the Internet.

Place

When looking into MarketCenter in terms of place, it can’t get much easier. Since MarketCenter is browser based this makes in available through online downloading. When a potential customer would like to use the product, they gain access by a link that is sent to the prospect along with a password and login. MarketCenter then is loaded through the prospects default browser as MarketCenter can be downloaded under any browser.
