I came across this phrase about a month ago thanks to superb and admirable lady resource person. It is an interesting expression because we all know what is inside the nutshell (or variety of nutshell) . Surprisingly it is not about the nut. “In a nutshell” simply means "in the fewest words possible" or "in summary." Sounds like familiar Tagalog phrase "sa madaling salita." Quite unique way of expressing the bottom line so I used it a lot.

Last night I bumped on the same phrase once again but on a different ambiance. After the evening class' pleasant discussion, during the closing prayer, my professor had asked to GOD to help his students step out of their nutshell. Acknowledging that it will not be possible without GOD’s nod. It hit me right at the heart because it’s true. I am trap inside of my nutshell and worst is, there is no way out unless a Force from coming the outside crack it open for me. It was an eye opener. Higher education will contribute learning’s to my being but it is not the key out. Tis not a sure thing. No matter how focus I am with my studies, how many hours I spend, how many inspiring people I meet.. it will all count to none without GOD’s nod.

I thank God for leading me to “exclusive” places wherein it gives me countless opportunities to enhance my skills--plus the bundled joy that comes with it. The sad part is with all these blessings, I got carried away and lost my purpose.

Prayer

Dear GOD, thank you for loving me. Thank you for reminding me that I am what I am because of your grace. Enable me oh LORD. Brake my nutshell and lift my feet outside. Transform me into a person who is fit for your purpose. Like a nut that came free out of its shell--ready and fit for your use. I acknowledge dear LORD that it is not me who will fulfill my purpose but it is YOU. And with great joy in my heart i declare Psalm 138:8, “The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me;” These are my prayers in JESUS name. Amen....
