Reflctive Report

Describe:

This week the lecture has formed us into a group which based on the criteria that the group members must have different roles and attributes. They are 5 types of roles. They are leader, doer, achiever, thinker, and carer. In this team, my role is as a carer. As Fogler and Leblanc (2008) stated that to solve a problem which more complex, we needed a group of people with different area of expertise.

Interpret :

We were formed into a group because most of our assignments are a group assignment. Therefore, we will work together as group throughout this semester. Hopefully, this can help us when we go into a workplace. As Tyson (1998) mentioned that ‘in a group’ is an experience that will keep repeating many times in workplace.

Evaluate :

The idea of making a team was a good idea as we can team with new friends, but I am not happy with how the lecture selected us into a group because in our group all are foreigner students and 4 of us are Indonesian. She should mix us with the local student too.

Plan :

I will try to improve my skill as good as I can and as a carer, I will try to help my team when my team’s members is getting problem or not happy with group’s decision, and make a good rapport with my group members.
