In the twenty-first century mass tourism became one of the most prospecting, developing and popular industry in the world.Tourism is a social, cultural and economic phenomenon which entails the movement of people to countries or places outside their usual environment for personal or business/professional purposes. (Sally media1, (2011),”Understanding Tourism: Basic Glossary”). Basically, mass tourism is a form of tourism, which involve thousands of people travel to the same place at the same time. Mass tourism is democratisation of travel, cheap flights and cheap hotels. It also can create mass tourists, who are inexperienced and predictable, they are motivated by price and popularity, they don‘t have respect for local people, wasteful in consumption, for example: water resources. Consequantly, mass tourism not only has positive effects for countries, but negative as well, such as noise, pollution, westernization of culture, food and drink, crime, prostitution and for local communities. Today, I am going to talk about the most common negative aspects of mass tourism, which are: environmental issues, local communities and sex tourism.

First of all, environment is one of the most necessity in our lifes. It is not only just your home or people around you, but the air, which people are breathing, the grass which they are siting at. All humans, are strongly connected with environment. The state or well-being of the “environment” has become along with global terrorism the most discussed contemporary global issue. The term is often, perhaps normally, equated with nature, and the basis of the debate, rests upon the effects we are having upon. However, the expression of “environment” is also frequently used to refer to what actually, surround us, for example: our “home” environment and “destination” environments.
