Good News or Bad News

Today in America we have media streaming at us at all times. If we are on the internet there are advertisements, driving down the road there are billboards and radio commercials, then of course when you’re watching television through commercials and different programing. Even though there are all these outlets of media, information, and entertainment, we the people are never guaranteed the whole story. Most of the time there is only one guarantee, the side of the story that makes their people look good or their enemy’s look bad. Whether it’s CNN, Fox or your local channel there will always be a slant one way or another.

Fox’s claim to fame is their slogan “Fair and balanced” yet their slant is to the political right. They have republican values and tend to display them through their shows by campaigning Small government, big enterprise, anti-abortion, and of course pro guns. All the while sporting the Elephant Republican symbol, with its long lying nose and fat belly, as ones who feed their selves before anyone else. During the presidential race they favored Governor Romney although he lost they felt he was the right candidate to take the office of President. In their eyes Governor Romney was the answer to all the problems. He was going to take the United States’ deficit from being 60 billion in the hole, fix the eight percent unemployment rate, and resolve the immigration problems in one fatal swoop taking them all back to the place as they should be. Single handedly putting America back on top of the world and doing the captain Morgan pose at the end of his 4 years saying, “Let’s go another round.” Their opinion of President Obama was and still is quite the opposite. They feel like by the end of his four years Obama will have taken Uncle Sam up in Air Force One, kicked him out with no parachute into international waters, drowning the only hope of America ever being the same again.
