I. Introduction:

My favorite fashion designer of all time is Micheal Kors because his style of clothing is all about

modern elegance and sophistication that uses a classical style suited to all occasions without being too

complicated or overstated. Micheal Kor made his mark back in the 1980s as a sportswear designer as he

followed the footsteps of some of the greatest designers who left their legacy behind like: Anne Klein

and Perr y Ellis, who set the stage for women's clothing keeping the American Classic style of clothing

fresh and uniquely innovative.

II. Personal Information:

Micheal Kors was born under the name of Karl Anderson Jr. on August 09, 1959 Long Island, New

York. His parents are only known as Joan Hamburger and Karl Anderson, not much else is known

other than this information besides his father being a college student and mother was born of Jewish

descent with his father being of Swedish descent. He has personally stated that upon his mother

separation from his birth father and remarried to another unknown man is when he was given the

opportunity to change his namesake at age five. This was when he carefully chose the name Micheal

Kors taking his step father’s Bill Kors last name because he always knew from the age of five that he

would be a great fashion designer, which was brought about during his mother’s second marriage when

she was picking out wedding dresses . Kor’s statement about the dress was that he thought it was too

busy with all the frills and bows, so his mother listened to him by removing everything but the base

Micheal Kors began designing his clothing at the age of 19 as he attended the Fashion Institute of
