Asian financial economic crisis in July, 1997 came as a global economic meltdown. Before this crisis graduates were highly in demand but now as the years have passed by the importance of being a degree possessor has declined greatly. In recent years, the number of unemployed graduates and job seekers are soaring high. Hence, graduates today have to overcome the challenges of surviving in this competitive world as well as showing off their capabilities to the employers for finding a suitable job. So, are the graduates and job seekers facing problems in finding jobs because of the competitiveness or being not able to present themselves in front of the highly demanding employers? It does seem that the main reason for the graduates being jobless is due to their inability to present their skills during the job interviews.

Education systems of the local learning institutions greatly influence the quality of the graduates. The two major obstructions in the path of producing successful graduates are usage of spoon-feeding teaching technique and giving more preference to the local languages rather than English. Based on one of the articles of Daily Express Newspaper, the main problem of high unemployment rate in the country could be due to spoon-feeding when they were undergraduates. According to Dr. Chang Sui Loong, the head of economics affair committee (Daily Express 2nd April 2010)’Spoon-feeding of undergraduates with all sorts of courses that offer financial assistance regardless of their personal interest and career prospect of the course could be among reasons for the high unemployment among Malaysian graduates.’ When spoon-feeding technique is used, students usually tend to follow the same path of learning throughout their life. There is no alteration in their style of thinking and interpreting information. Moreover, we see the same attitude among university students.
