One very important aspect about Tanglewood is the promotion from within. Everyone who works for Tanglewood have to start out as store associates. Tanglewood needs to attract top talent for the store associates positions so that they will have people who can move up into the Management position. The target for potential employees from High School Seniors and college freshman, the reasons is that they can be trained to work the way Tanglewood was meant to be. When employees feel that they are getting treated well you will be helping in the Loyalty brand. Tanglewood uses five different types of recruitment strategies. I will discuss in the following paragraphs different ways to target possible employees.
There are a few ways Tanglewood advertises job opening. They are radio, TV, and newspapers. The use of kiosks in the store is another way candidates can fill out applications. The methods used are seen by different people with different backgrounds. Tanglewood even encourages referrals. Referrals are an important part in finding the right person for the job. Most people will not put their name behind someone if they don’t feel they would be a good match for the company.
Job services and staffing agencies are two other methods used by Tanglewood. They cost somewhat more, and the quality of the possible employee is in question. Tanglewood gives the staffing agencies guideline that must be followed in order to get what they want out of the possible...
