Abstract

The affects of improper aircraft maintenance on the aviation industry are severe. There have been many accidents where the root causes were bad maintenance practices. An example of one of these practices is complacency. Complacency can be attributed to technicians with much experience that think they know it all as well as companies’ lack of taking action in correcting discrepancies when employees make recommendations.
