The topic of abortion is a very controversial topic, which centrally revolves around the question of whether or not abortion is murder. Regarding this issue two main sides have arisen one being pro-abortionists and the other as anti-abortionists. This topic is still debated upon to this day and does not seem to be coming to a settlement for some time to come.

Both popular and controversial, the topic of abortion has been debated upon for roughly thirty years. Judging by the lack of agreement between both sides of the issue despite the seemingly lengthy period of time spent on the issue, it doesn’t look to be coming to an end anytime soon. The topic of abortion is very controversial for many reasons but in a simplistic summary the major issue covered by this topic is whether or not abortion is considered to be murder. On January 22, 1973, marks the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that affirmed a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy abortion in the United States (Findlaw.com, Jan. 22 1973).
