Topic: Is children behavior better or worse than it was years ago?
Children's behavior has been the topic of discussion throughout the years due to its ever growing difference from one generation to another. But is this for better or for worse. Did it improve from the previous generation or has it deteriorated as time goes by. In my opinion, it is the latter. All these are due to various explainable factors and this deterioration of behavior can also be considered a side effect of our ever advancing world. There is an opinion poll that backs my stand as it shows that many people have personally seen children nowadays behaving poorly compared to the children 20 years ago. However this poll might be biased because only people of the past would know how children behaved 20 years ago and might side towards them as they are now the older people in the society. Also some might argue that it is the cause of the generation gap that older people in the society do not understand the teenagers of our time and so misinterpretate their behaviors. Besides not understanding and misinterpreting, the older generation might think that they are the elderly and matured ones and the young generation is too immatured and is not behaving the way that the elderlys think they should.
There are also evidence from the teachers in school that would show that the behavior of children have gone worse. It is reported that about 70% of the teachers in school has at least once considered quitting their job in their whole teaching career due to the stress they experience when teaching the current generation. The stress mainly comes from the students as they tend to not listen in class, talk when they are not supposed to and interupt the lesson, do not follow instructions. In some serious cases, students would have a fiery argument with the teachers and there are also reported incidents where the students would make fun of their teachers.
