Kudler Foods Marketing Focus Study

Kathy Kudler the owner of Kudler Fine Foods has requested an Information Technology Resource Manager to recommend potential technology solutions to support customer contests. It is important for the information technology resource manager to recommend programs for loyalty points, purchase tracking of internal versus external service processes, inventory and related costs as well as use of consumer databases, and customer relationship systems. Kathy’s has encouraged the marketing purchasing department to reduce costs of ordering in order to limit the amount of stock stored. In response, as an information technology resource manager Kwame’s recommendation to Kathy is to install an activity-based costing system (ABC). The reasons are Kathy has different location with retail space filled with fine selections of bakery, pastry, produce, meat and seafood; condiments, cheese specialties, and must communicate daily with customers about frequent shopper program, share feedback concerning in-store events, and according to Cascio (2006), Kudler’s should contribute to the communities in which they operate to determine if objectives are met and to identify future improvements” (p. 4 of 52). This paper is the subject of Kudler Fine Foods marketing focus and will explore the potential technology solutions for customer contests as well as explain the findings concerning loyalty programs, scanning loyalty cards, customer databases, and customer relationship management systems.
