1. Mostly, I am a read/write learner followed by the tactile/kinesthetic learning style. I enjoy taking notes because I tend to retain more information that way, and actually being more hands-on helps me learn as well.

2. It would be important for (my employer) to understand my learning style because, they would want me to know the job. Right? There have been many instances where an employer would tell me to do something, and if I didn’t understand, I would ask if they could physically show me how to do the project.

3. I believe that if the person that you are teaching knows that you took the time to know how they learn, they’d feel appreciated, valued. When your supervisor takes the time to adapt to your style, I believe that you’d feel like a real asset to the company.

4. Based on my learning style, I would communicate my needs by writing a note or an email. I tend to communicate best when I can actually write. I feel that I can effectively “empty” my brain and get it on paper. Writing poetry also helps me get my feelings down on paper more creatively. To help improve my relationships, instead of getting frustrated with my husband or my sister, I can take time to understand how they receive information and adapt my communication skills to better get my thoughts across to them.

5. Understanding another’s learning style can effectively help communication. Communicating effectively is vital in everyone’s success, whether it be with your spouse, at work or at school.
