My social status in the workplace is much different than my social status amongst friends outside of the workplace. At my job I am the youngest person out of 700 people across our company and it has come with good and bad perks. People view me as a young guy who does not know what work is, as someone who is young and lazy, and someone who does not know anything about anything. Though some team members view me as a hard worker because I am so young, since apparently younger people have a massive storage of energy according to them. My social status amongst my friends is that I am the funny guy. Which varies greatly from work since at work I am all business and serious with some very little comedy thrown in. The comedy is usually thrown in for ice breakers when I meet a new coworker or client as a way to get in with them but besides that I am strictly business. How I interact with my family is the same as I interact with my friends except I keep it a lot cleaner around my family due to their strict beliefs.

My social status influences my view of world by showing me that people will judge you or fear you just because you are younger in the same field as them. This can lead to tension and resentment in the workplace. This has happened many times within my job, most recently when my boss was fired. Since my boss was fired they were going to relocate the team to work under regional leadership which was a problem since my step-dad is the regional leadership. So since I am young there was a job created for me on another team which led to a lot of tension between me and a few coworkers since they felt like the job was made for me because I was young and had a family member in regional leadership.
