To Drill or Not to Drill

There is a lot of argument and debating going on how the united state must decrease it dependence on foreign oil and invest in alternative sources of energy. The United States depends on the uses of oil on a daily bases which tends to be very expensive. The one debate is that the United States should look in to use of alternative sources, like wind and solar power. Some say we should start searching for oil in Alaska. Debating and argument make for hard choice because at the same time we are drilling and getting oil that is needed for other purposes. I do agree that we need to go green no matter what we have to look at both sides of the situation and try to find a solution that will help both parties out. I agree that drilling oil is the way to go but we also need to find other alternative ways on drilling without harming the ozone layer and the earth. By continuing to drill, we are either saving money from importing oil from other countries. We need to start thinking about the future and how it would affect us if we don’t go green. I do believe in solar power to because that would promise a better recovery for America and also grant us more jobs. As for the politicians pushing to drill in Alaska and off the coast have the same basic goal in mind to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. The best way to meet energy needs in the United States is to create a solution that doesn’t include polluting the economy or wasting money on oil that is overseas in a different region that we as Americans don’t have any control, or claim, or ownership, or a reliable partnership on.
