RMEPA for the First Quarter of Calendar Year 2013

The Department of Education (DepEd) Region VII successfully conducted its first quarter Regional Monitoring, Evaluation and Plan Adjustment (RMEPA) Workshop for the Calendar Year 2013 held on April 10-12, 2013 at the DepEd Region VII Conference Room.

The objective of the RMEPA workshop is to regularly assess the organizational performance of the different functional divisions and support divisions under the DepEd’s new restructuring program in the SEMIT Pilot Regions 6, 7 and 8. It is done quarterly to determine the progress of the region in its delivery of education services as well as its performance and health as an organization.

Pre-work activities of the RMEPA were done on April 8 and 10, 2013 to gather initial reports on Physical Accomplishments of every Regional Division. QAAD personnel, T & D Chief and Internal Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) Coordinator in every division convened and did actual data collection on quantitative and qualitative information. Tools were given for easy data collection following established standards. It was participated by the representatives from the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD), Budget and Finance Division (BFD), Field Effectiveness Division (FED), Training and Development Division (TDD), Planning, Policy and Research Division (PPRD) and Quality Assurance and Accountability Division (QAAD).

The actual conduct of the RMEPA took place on April 11, 2013. Each QAAD Supervisor was given assignment on what RO unit to facilitate for easy data gathering, analysis and interpretation using the recommended tools: CLMD by Dr. Estela B. Susvilla, TDD and BFD by Dr. Joy Kenneth S. Biasong and PPRD and FED by Mrs. Merden L. Bryant. Dr. Marcial P. Degamo acted as the over-all Chairperson of the workshop. Dr. Fannie de Guzman, SEMIT Consultant, was also present during the RMEPA conference.
