I joined JROTC because I was in the AVID program for three years already. While I like some of the techniques they used, the program didn't really give me much of a challenge. All we did for the whole class period was do simple work that was far too easy for me. We were required to take notes in our classes and we got graded on that, but we pretty much did nothing. I am also thinking about going into the military, and I think JROTC will really help get motivated.

I knew JROTC wasn't a easy course and that why I took it. I want a challenging class for once. I do honestly plan on going through the entire four year program. I as a cadet accept any punishment you may give our class, regardless the reason. the one thing I am hoping JROTC will do for me though is give me confidence. I get scared easily when it comes to people, and I am hoping the program can change that for me.

I joined Army JROTC because, I wanted to be a part of a team that people respect and honor. I also wanted to wear the uniforms and have a JROTC t-shirt. I wanted to join because I know it could help me later in life. One of the other reasons I joined is because people respect and honor the JROTC cadets. I also wanted to be a part of a team that actually meant something and could teach me about leadership.

The other thing that really drew me to this class is the uniforms. I remember when I was in middle school and we would pass the high school on the way to school and I would see the JROTC cadets in their uniforms and I wanted to...
