Americanization

Everyone has the American dream. Even I have heard many people say : “I want to be in America, live, work, and get an education there.” I agree with this idea but it doesn’t work all the time because you only dream about the positive aspects of living in America. But when people immigrate here, they see it is not easy to become an American because the culture and lifestyle are different.

American culture is very unfamiliar for immigrants and we can divide into two parts. One we call street culture and the other is formal culture. When immigrants come in the United States, the culture they are introduced to is street culture. We can call it also human behavior. For example, when I first came here, I didn’t like it. People polluted, yelling in the street and painting walls with spray paint more than I had ever seen before I come in United States. When we think about American culture, the first thing that comes to our brain is “McDonalds”, which is bad for human health. Unfortunately, street culture is the only thing immigrants see. Of course, American culture has a lot of things to discovery and very interesting things. For example: Americans invented Rock, R&B and Jazz. They create 3d animation movies to the world. In addition Americans have very interesting holidays. For example, I had never seen Thanksgiving, Halloween or Christmas before I come here. In my opinion immigrants need time to understand, what is real American culture means.

All Americans have a busy lifestyle. Starting in the morning people run to work and to college. They take lunch in the morning which is part of American culture. After busy day they love to go out with friends at night or go bars, watch baseball and basketball games. This is the reason cities in the United States never sleep.

Therefore, to live in American even hard, but it is good for your future. First think your ideas, life style will change. You will be very organized person....
