LUPERCAL CAVE

Rome, one of the oldest city of Europe, has been established 2700 years ago and ever since respectively has been the center of Roman Empire and Catholic Church and left a vital impression upon the entire world. Many European languages derive from Latin, many political and judicial systems are based on ancient Rome’s implementations and the flawless methods and styles of Roman architecture has been used for building constructions at the four corners of the world. The city in itself contains 2000-year structuring layer and throughout 1200 years, Rome had about 250 rulers from the foundation of Rome by Romulus to the fall of Rome in 476AC by the Germen Odovakar and solely these are enough to prove the magnificent history of this eternal city.

Rome has been established as a little Iron-Age village in the middle of 8.century BC. In 616BC, contiguous Etruscans took the control of the city but lost their power after Rome has been republic in 509BC. Rome, initially, conquered the majority of the Italy and fixed its eyes on overseas and at the beginning of first century BC, Rome took the control of Spain, North Africa and Greece. Spreading of the empire has offered various opportunities to its ambitious citizens and increased collisions resulted in destroying of the democracy. Julius Caesar reigned as a dictator and his nephew Octavianus declared himself as the first emperor of the Rome by taking the name Augustus. Jesus was born in this period and Christians were depressed until 4th century. This religion has sweep through Rome and in this time the city became the center of Christianity.

The earliest history of Rome; according to the historian Livius, Romulus has established the Rome in 753BC, but when he noticed that there was not enough female in his tribe, he invited the neighbor Sabines to a feast and abducted the females of that tribe.
