Some might say the crime of the 21st century will be white collar. If that is true, what will be the major types of cybercrime? How can we safeguard against it?

I totally agree with this. A few years ago, someone hacked into a Wells Fargo bank where my mother had some of her money. In less than 12 hours they (Nigeria) managed to drain my mother’s account. They got a total of a little over $64,000 from my mother alone. That does not include what they got from other accounts. It was determined that they went from account to account until they hit a windfall. Of course my mother got her money back due to being protected by FDIC. But it took several weeks. I was appalled that a bank did not have better cyber security. I believe this will continue to be the crime of choice along with bilking the elderly. I think the Nigerians will be one step ahead of everyone. It still amazes me how many people actually fall for the Nigerian emails.

In what ways should making money online have its limits? For example, is pornography, online gambling, etc, fair game? What are the ethical considerations involved?

I’m not sure it should have limits. People are responsible for their own actions. Online gambling can be fun. I used to play poker online all the time. I never used real money but I knew a lot of people who did. I understand gambling can be addictive. But again, people are should own their own behaviors and habits. If someone is addicted to gambling and they can’t do it online, (which they can’t anymore legally) they will find a way to gamble. Whether it be going through a bookie or going to Vegas, they will get their fix one way or another. Pornography is the same way. If they can’t get it on the internet than they will go to an adult bookstore. If you can make money online legally, than go for it.
