To increase a team’s performance three key indicators are needed. [The passive voice is a form of "be" (are) and a participle (needed). Over-use of the passive voice can make paragraphs tedious to read and officious. Try to use the active voice most often, e.g., the student completed the paper on time. Motivation is as internal characteristic that bring out external results. Motivation among team members is critical because motivation shows that the team is going in the right direction to achieve a particular goal. Motivation is defined [Passive voice] as the processes that account for an individual’s [Check spelling--remove the apostrophe if the word is not possessive] intensity, direction, and persistence of effort toward attaining a goal (Robbins & Judge, 2007, p. 186). In general, most people are satisfied [Passive voice] with their job overall [Wordiness: unless meaning denim work clothes, "overall" is general and vague and contributes little to the sentence] ; however, the least satisfaction comes from lack of promotional opportunities and pay. According to table 3-2, 21% of employees are not satisfied [Passive voice] with promotional opportunities, and 58% of the employees are not satisfied [Passive voice] with the pay (Robbins & Judge, 2007, table 3-2).
