The objective of Madison Children's Hospital is to seek research to improve panpsychist and the quality of life in children and adolescents with chronic illnesses. The facility wants to be the leading source of research and discovery. Educate about leaders in child health, as well as enhance the health an well being of children and adolescents with chronic illnesses. There has also been concern about children not getting adequate education while being treated.

The SMART principal is a good tool to use when keeping success of the goals accomplished. Research is the top goal for Madison Children's Hospital, because this is key to their success. Finding more cures, that cure chronic illness is a shorter time period can improve the children's attendance and overall academic success. Keeping a managed status of children's and adolescents with chronic illness, and will better help the facility and the schools, keep track on what needs to be done for improvement. The ones that will be keeping track of the chronic illnesses and success will be the doctors and nurses of Madison Children's Hospital on their advanced computer systems. Not only does it effect, the children, the hospitals reputation, and the schools, it effects the parents as well with their income levels, and career advancement.
